There was an official announcement about the fate of NXL Regional Conference Events earlier this week. Current concerns on health and safety of the attendees led to the cancelation of NXL Regional Conference Events. The official announcement goes like this;

“At the NXL, the safety and well being of our players, supporters, and staff will always be our top priority. We also strive to meet or exceed your expectations of what an NXL event should be, even during these unprecedented times. After cautiously considering the remainder of the year, we have decided to cancel the August/September regional National Xball League events which were to replace the NXL Chicago Open. We feel the best path forward is to focus on running a successful Chicago ICPL in October and an incredible NXL World Cup in November. The NXL would like to thank each player, fan, sponsor, staff, and supporter for your patience and understanding as we navigate this historical season. We hope you will join us this fall as we aim to safely bring the industry together and welcome you back to the greatest show in paintball.”

Although we are happy to hear that health and safety of people are considered above any event it seems that players are concerned about the fate of ICPL and World Cup.
